About the shepherdess:

Hi, I’m Bryn, a farmer and shepherdess. I raise a small flock of grass and pasture-fed sheep. Right now, my flock includes 15 sheep, with the hopes of growing to 30 head by next season.

My goal is to provide quality lamb and beautiful natural materials while centering reciprocity and sustainability for the land and my flock. I want to eventually operate as a mobile slaughter and offer grass fed lamb shares and naturally tanned hides.

In the meantime, my focus has been the art I make. I use the wool from my flock to create original art and handmade pieces — each one inspired by the animals and the landscape that support my work. I shear the sheep myself and process the wool afterwards. I hand-card the fiber with hand paddles. I then spin the wool on an old Ashford spinning wheel from the 70’s. All of the fiber I use is fiber I have made. To keep my pieces feeling as natural as possible I typically keep the wool in its original color, but if I use dye it is sourced only from plant based natural dyes such as; Indigo, marigold, mushrooms and madder root.

This business is growing naturally, season by season, and I’m grateful to share that journey with others who value thoughtfully raised food and fiber.
